Things have gotten all confusing since I got a tumblr, so I think from now on I’ll be using this blog for the traditional life sketches/comix like before, plus art and development for Notions and other such projects. Fanart, random sketches, and so on will go on tumblr, as well as an assortment of silly reblogs and even the occasional blog-type post.

I’ve been using my moleskin notebook to do little sketches of all of the fifth-gen Pokemon that I catch (and like enough to nickname). Here are the first four~
Rory’s name comes from Doctor Who, one of my favorite songs (ローリンガール, get it), and the fact that his final form is probably pretty roary. :>
Bee is short for Diabeetus, because her later forms totally remind me of that guy.
I pretty much forget why I picked the name TK. Could retroactively say it’s after the best Angel Beats character, though.
I really wanted to come up with a punning name to match Purrloin/Liepard, even if it didn’t stay in my party very long.

And a contest entry for a Vocaloid group on deviantART to design an Append outfit for Kasane Ted. I ran out of time for shinies and other touches but apparently it was more about the design anyway.

But I have been doing a thing! I have a habit of nicknaming Pokemon that I like when I catch them, even if I’m not going to use them. And discovering fifth-gen Pokemon for the first time (well aside from obsessively scoping the previews beforehand) is pretty exciting! So, I’ve been doing sketches of each one to commemorate the occasion.

Anyway, I just did a quick sketch because I have Pokemon, I mean midterms. I’m not really sure what’s going on in this picture, either. Expect a torrent of Pokemon art when midterms are over. And Notions, too!
Which is, after all, what the moon is made of. But seriously I just spent like ten minutes trying to come up with a title for this, and each one was cornier than the last, so I’m just gonna go with that.
I’ve been meaning to draw this for a while as a means of “catching up” on Life Comix and hopefully convincing myself/you/anybody of a shift in attitude, however small. I’m not sure if it’s working but I hope you like my dumb sketchy drawings.
Also, I’m on tumblr now. It’s basically going to be the same content as this but with 200% more reblogs. Also, maybe other kinds of written content or something, I have no idea. Still trying to figure out the best method of making posts on here appear there, so excuse the mess for now.

Thanks, HP. Finally, here is a goofy t-shirt design I submitted for my residence hall cluster’s contest. The deadline has since been mysteriously extended, so no word yet on that.
A thank-you note for my aunt, the reason should be obvious. Busy working on NaNoRenO, being bogged down with schoolwork, and certain other things~ It’s a little overwhelming but still good, and I hope to have more to post soon!

I was just having a conversation this morning about the original Legend of Zelda for the NES, and then I found out later that it’s the 25th anniversary of the game’s release in Japan~ Homework (and various other neglected artworks) be damned, Zelda basically trumps everything! Unfortunately, I’m in a bit of a hurry, so this is all I could produce. :c Nonetheless, happy birthday, Link!
